Governor's Message

100% and then some, this is the motto of our International President Jack Creswell. This means when our efforts reach 100% we still can push a little more for the kids. Remember our end goal is to provide guidance for the kids, but without new clubs and new members this becomes a difficult task. As your Governor I will do all I can to bring new clubs and new members to the district but this is something I can't do alone. This is where I ask for your help. If every member would bring one new member into their club; just look where we would be at the end of the year. I realize this is asking a lot but if only 50% or 25% of the members brought in a new member think what we could do. New members just don't mean a larger club and more dues but it brings in new ideas and more we can do for the kids.
We need to see more participation in District programs such as Essay, Oratorical, Poster and Jr. Golf. These are great programs with great rewards and we do a disservice to the kids by not giving them a chance to participate.
Some of the goals for the 2011-12 year are

Membership: A net increase of 5% over October 1st, 2011
New clubs: Three to four new clubs for the New Year
District Attendance: An increase of 20% attendance in district meetings
District Achievements: Become an Honor and Distinguished District
I realize these are only a few goals but if we can achieve these and perhaps a few more just think where we'll be at the end of our year. Remember we can't do it alone but together we can achieve miracles.

Barry E. Montague, Governor 2011-12
